BIBLE READING PLAN
The Bible, in and of itself, is a miracle. Think about it. Over centuries of time, God supernaturally moved in a number of men’s hearts, leading them to record the exact words of God. God then guided His people to recognize these divine writings and to distinguish them from everything else that had ever been written. Later, God’s people brought together these 66 books. The preservation and survival of the Bible were as miraculous as its writing. Finally, God gave men technological knowledge to copy and transmit the Bible so all people could have it. All this took place because God has something to say to you.
This year we invite you to read the New Testament. We will be using the Foundations NT260 Reading Plan as we engage in the word throughout the week and then gather together on Sundays for worship. When it comes to Bible reading plans there's no right option; we simply want to encourage you to hide His Word in your heart.

FAQ'S
What is the Foundations NT260 Reading Plan?
It is a 260-day reading plan that covers every chapter of the New Testament. It is divided up into five sections of Scripture a week during the year. In addition to the reading, each week also provides a memory verse.
The plan expects believers to read 1 chapter a day for 5 days each week, with an allowance for weekends off. The 2 off-days a week are built in so you may catch up on days where you’re unable to read In order to digest more of the Word.
When does the Foundations NT260 reading plan begin?
The NT260 Reading Plan begins January 11th 2021.
What happens if I get behind?
We know that life can get busy. The good news about this reading plan is if you get behind you can simply pick up with the next days reading. No guilt trips!
Can I use the Youversion Bible app?
Yes. We encourage you to use the Youversion Bible app as it allows for people to read the plan together as individuals, couples, or families. You can start the plan here: Foundations NT260 Bible Reading Plan
Note: when searching in Youversion for the plan make sure to include the word "Foundations."
Is there an audio version?
Yes. The Youversion Bible app has the ability to have scripture read in an audio format. You can download the app here: Youversion Bible app
Are there hard copies of the Bible reading plan available?
Absolutely. You can download the PDF version or you can pick up a hard copy on Sunday mornings at the Pipeline Info Center.
What is a H.E.A.R Journal?
The H.E.A.R. journaling method promotes reading the Bible with a life-transforming purpose. No longer will your focus be on checking off the boxes on your daily reading schedule; your purpose will instead be to read in order to understand and respond to God’s Word. Find out more here.

HOW TO READ EFFECTIVELY
No matter which plan you decide to read, we recommend an active reading method called H.E.A.R journaling. A H.E.A.R. journal is a short reflection on one verse that you read that day that encourages understanding, application, and response.
The H.E.A.R. method looks like this:
You can see a sample H.E.A.R. journal entry here.
There’s nothing inherently special about this reading plan. When it comes down to it, the best reading plan is simply the one that will get you into the Word. But as we approach a new year, perhaps you will consider using one of these and encouraging your Home Group to do the same. Now is the perfect time to start getting into the Word until the Word gets into you.
