GOD, WE WILL NOT

STEAL YOUR GLORY.

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. - Philippians 2:10-11

OUR MISSION

Bringing Glory to God through the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

CONTEXT FOR DISCIPLESHIP

  • WORSHIP - THE FUEL TO DISCIPLESHIP

Worship means magnifying God with our lips and manifesting God in our lives. We are therefore convinced weekend services should draw people’s hearts vertical, right up to heaven itself. We are to give people tours of God’s greatness from start to finish. Lives are changed when they encounter God. (1 Chronicles 16, Psalm 29, Psalm 96)

  • WALK - THE CONTEXT FOR DISCIPLESHIP

Followers of Christ go through a continual process of sanctification, which simply means becoming more and more like Jesus. We do that best in community – environments that cultivate biblical thinking and God-honoring behavior through mutual ministry and accountability with one another. (Ephesians 4:11-16; Acts 2:42- 47; Hebrews 10:24)

  • WORK - THE OVERFLOW OF DISCIPLESHIP

A disciple of Christ is a worker for Christ. They are to utilize their gifts and talents, not for themselves, but for the advancements of His kingdom both inside and outside the church. (1 Corinthians 12; 2 Corinthians 5:17-20; Ephesians 2:8-10)

  • WITNESS - THE RESULT OF DISCIPLESHIP

Both corporately and personally, locally and globally, we want to take risks to fulfill the Great Commission. This happens through personal sharing of faith and also by planting church-planting churches. (Ephesians 6:19-20)

Not a quantity of disciples

but a quality of discipleship.

Posture of discipleship

Let God himself be the main attraction at church again, and let us be tireless in our insistence that church is for God, about God, through God, and to the Glory of His great Son.

essential beliefs

There is one God, eternally existing in three co-equal Persons, namely the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Romans 8; Ephesians 1:13-14

God, out of love for His children, sent His son Jesus Christ to die for our sins, and to rise from the dead. 1 Corinthians 15:1-8

Salvation is a free gift of God. The death of Christ on the cross is the only sufficient payment for our sins. All have sinned, but all can be saved. This salvation is available for any who put their trust in Christ as Savior and follow Him as Lord. Romans 3:23, 6:23; John 3:16

Those trusting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized.

Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38

The church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the task of reaching the lost and discipling the saved, helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ. Ephesians 4:1-16

Christ will one day return and reign forever.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

When we die, we will either be separated from God by sin or united with Him eternally through faith in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.

John 3:16; John 14:1-3; Revelation 20:10,15

The Bible is the inspired word of God and is the final authority in life and doctrine. 2 Timothy 3:16

Every believer, a disciple.

Every disciple, a disciple maker.

Every disciple, a potential church.

Every church, a training center.
